South Kentucky RECC has Eight All “A” Classic Scholarship Winners

South Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce that $8,000 in Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic Scholarships have been awarded to a Monticello High School, three Clinton County High School students, and four Somerset High School students.

Class “A” schools are those with an enrollment of 425 or less, in grades 10 through 12.

Receiving $1,000 scholarships are Luke Burton, Monticello High School, son of Glenn and Brenda Burton; Sonya Barber, Clinton County High School, daughter of Carol Barber; Samantha Burchett, Clinton County High School, daughter of Steve and Melinda Burchett and spouse of Matt Thrasher; Kevin Willis, Clinton County High School, son of Bill and Rosetta Willis; Brittany Burdine, Somerset High School, daughter of Jana Gastineau; Kenneth Hughes, Somerset High School, son of Wilma and the late Marty Hughes; Robin Kelley, Jr., Somerset High School, son of Cindi and the late Robin Kelley and; and Jeremy Sites, Somerset High School, son of Evelyn Sites.

This year, Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives and the All “A” Classic gave away 60 scholarships to students across the state, and to date, nearly $660,000 has been disbursed in academic awards and scholarships.
