South Kentucky RECC has Eight All A Classic
Scholarship Winners
South Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative is pleased to
announce that $8,000 in Touchstone Energy All A Classic
Scholarships have been awarded to a Monticello High School, three Clinton
County High School students, and four Somerset High School students.
Class A schools are those with an enrollment
of 425 or less, in grades 10 through 12.
Receiving $1,000 scholarships are Luke Burton, Monticello
High School, son of Glenn and Brenda Burton; Sonya Barber, Clinton County High
School, daughter of Carol Barber; Samantha Burchett, Clinton County High
School, daughter of Steve and Melinda Burchett and spouse of Matt Thrasher;
Kevin Willis, Clinton County High School, son of Bill and Rosetta Willis;
Brittany Burdine, Somerset High School, daughter of Jana Gastineau; Kenneth
Hughes, Somerset High School, son of Wilma and the late Marty Hughes; Robin
Kelley, Jr., Somerset High School, son of Cindi and the late Robin Kelley and;
and Jeremy Sites, Somerset High School, son of Evelyn Sites.
This year, Kentuckys Touchstone Energy Cooperatives
and the All A Classic gave away 60 scholarships to students across
the state, and to date, nearly $660,000 has been disbursed in academic awards
and scholarships.
South Kentucky RECC Head Coach/CEO Allen Anderson says,
Investing in our young men and women is a sound and rewarding investment
that produces great returns. South Kentucky RECC is extremely pleased to be
associated with the Touchstone Energy All A Classic, which helps so
many students in our service area achieve their dreams and attend
college.
