In order to text outages, South Kentucky RECC members need to:
• Make sure your service on file with the co-op includes an up-to-date mobile phone number. You can call your local office and update the file, or you can visit the SKRECC member portal and add or correct your mobile number. Click on the My Account tab, and then edit your account profile. Access to the online member portal is gained through the South Kentucky RECC Web site: www.skrecc.com. If you currently pay your SKRECC bill online, you will use the same log-in information. If you are new to the site, you will have to establish an account. You log-in using your SKRECC member number. If your South Kentucky RECC account number is 12345-001, then your member number is 12345. SKRECC will then e-mail a password to you so you can complete the log-in. After you log in the first time, you can change your password and create a user id for future use that will be easier for you to remember.
• Once your mobile phone number is added or updated, you can text skoutage to 85700.
• Once you have registered, you will receive a text message confirming that you are now active, and you will be able to begin using the service.
